Install Aerospike on Linux

Install on Red Hat

wget -O aerospike.tgz 'http://aerospike.com/download/server/latest/artifact/el6'
tar -xvf aerospike.tgz
cd aerospike-server-community-*-el6
sudo ./asinstall # will install the .rpm packages
sudo service aerospike start && \
sudo tail -f /var/log/aerospike/aerospike.log | grep cake
# wait for it. "service ready: soon there will be cake!"

Overview

Download Aerospike

Or if your distribution does not include a copy of wget, you can use curl:

Install Aerospike

如果已经在服务器安装过，可以跳过此步骤，启动aerospike

  1. 解压安装包 tar -xvf aerospike.tgz

aerospike-server-community-<version>-el6/

目录的内容应包括：

  • license.txt — licenses for Aerospike and other software included in the package.
  • aerospike-tools-.el6.x86_64.rpm — Aerospike command-line tools and utilities.
  • aerospike-server-community-.el6.x86_64.rpm — the Aerospike server package.

3.Install Aerospike Server & Tools

默认情况下，许多发布的SELinux的启用，会第一时间安装。在安装过程中禁用。

cd aerospike-server-community-<version>-el6

sudo ./asinstall

Run

Aerospike 包括一个初始化运行脚本, 位置在/etc/init.d/aerospike. 这个脚本将管理Aerospike Server 守护进程 (asd)位于/usr/bin。

默认有一个内存 test namespace 配置,请参见配置部分添加存储设备,配置一个集群,并优化您的硬件配置。

如果你改变Aerospike 用户进程,那么您将需要确保用户读写权限/var/log/aerospike和/opt/aerospike。

  1. Start Aerospike sudo service aerospike start

5.检查运行状态 Verify Aerospike is Running

sudo service aerospike status
